FOR GROWING AND LEARNING

Evergreen Children's Day Nursery is registered as an Approved Day Care Provider by OFSTED who will inspect the nursery every three years to confirm that we provide day care that coincides with the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

FAMILY ROOM 1

Our Baby Room is a spacious environment where your child will be nurtured and provided with a safe, calm and responsive atmosphere, allowing them to develop positive attachments and form some of their first relationships with other children . Here we provide a wide variety of sensory activities which help to stimulate them and encourage their curiosity and exploratory impulses.

FAMILY ROOM 2

Our Toddler Room is of course a cosy environment where your child will be encouraged and supported in order to learn and develop at their own pace. The room is equipped with suitable materials for the age and stage of the rooms occupants.  Daily activities are designed to promote their learning, independence and development with the aim to to develop self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment.

FAMILY ROOM 3

Our room for children aged 2+ is welcoming and bright. Here we focus on giving your child their independence, confidence in their own abilities and enhancing their development. Opportunities to develop their learning are done through activities and resources that provide challenges and positive experiences whilst at the same time encouraging their language development.

FAMILY ROOM 4

This is our room for children aged 3+. The room provides a vibrant and bright atmosphere where your child will be encouraged to build friendships and enhance their knowledge and understanding in preparation for leaving us and starting their Reception year at school. Focus is given to activities such as sharing and taking turns that will aid their social and communication skills .

OUTDOOR AREA 1

Located at the side of the nursery this setting is specifically for the use of babies and toddlers under two years of age. In the garden there are lots of resources that ignite children's awe and wonder and stimulate their mind, senses, imagination and creativity.

We prefer to use natural resources rather than plastic. Why? Because plastic tastes the same, feels the same and smells the same. Natural resources help to stimulate children's senses and gives them a secure understanding of the world around them.

OUTDOOR AREA 2

Our large play area is situated at the rear of the nursery and is designed for children aged two years and older to build on their creativity and imagination. For example we have simple crates that turn into bat mobiles or trains, rocks to jump off and a tree that we safely climb. We also have large sandpit and mud kitchen, where the best local mud pies are made, there is also a waterwheel and riverbed which the children can fill and empty, helping them become adept at balancing by transporting buckets of water. Lastly there is also our favourite activity.........jumping in puddles.
